| Tibetan Music Festival Enthralls Bylakupee |

Bylakuppe, February 24 - Gonpo Entertainment Company organised the largest ever Tibetan Music Festival at YMC ground in Bylakuppe, the Tibetan refugee settlement at Karnataka state in India on the second day of Tibetan new year.
The promenient singers and artist like Yarlung Techung of Chaksampa from California, Aa Ka Ma of TIPA from Dharamsala, Loten Namling from Switzerland, Namgyal T. Phurbu from U.S.A, Tezin Woeser of Tsam Tsam and Tezin Choegyal of Yeshi Norbu both from Nepal, Michel from 22 Tibetan Army, Ghen Tashi Tsering of Amae Labcha from SOS TCV Byl, Penpa Tsering of Bhumo Ghagpa singer from Mussoorie, Tamsang from Byl, Penpa Tsering from TCV Dharamsala and the Khawae Shunu Band from Bangalore enthralled the approximate 15,000 crowd gathered during the show.
The Tibetan Music Festival is the first concert which is held within the Tibetan community which pulled the largest number of crowd during the 45 years of exile life. The festival has brought some of the young talents like Khawae Shunu Band comprised of college youths whose talents in Traditional Tibetan Musics has recieved appreciation from all corners. Such events create a platform for the artist to exhibit their talents which in turn brings revolution in the Tibetan songs and musics. Besides it generates interest among youth and brings closer bond among tibetan artists.
" The main motive of holding the Tibetan MUsic Festival is to preserve and promote Tibetan songs and musics, and to provide finacial assistence for welfare projects within the Tibetan Community in future if this festival remains success in future as well", Gonpo said. |
